Extrait
As a conclusion, it is obvious to say that the first Gulf War was the first “television war”, with a number of journalists to cover it never seen before in history, and that this fact played an important role in the war itself. On one hand this mass media was controlled, or barely controlled, but on the other hand this control was a necessity regarding the influence of the media and its big networks in the United States, in the aim of winning the war.
